URGENT Call the surgery for advice or 111 out of hours

  • Facial Swelling that extends to the neck and/or eye
  • Bleeding as a result of trauma that does not stop
  • Bleeding after an extraction that does not stop after 20 mins of pressure with a gauze/handkerchief (small amount of oozing is expected)
  • Significant toothache that can not be managed with regular pain relief and is associated with swelling and/or fever

NON URGENT Manage at home or call Surgery for advice

  • Chipped Teeth with no pain
  • Broken, lost or loose fillings
  • Lost, loose Crowns, Bridges, Veneers
  • Bleeding gums (occasional)
  • Dentures that are broken, loose or rubbing

Visit A&E if you have any facial swelling that is affecting your breathing and/or vision, or if you have experienced trauma that has resulted in loss of consciousness/double vision/vomiting.
